Joshua is a barrister with a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. He accepts instructions across a wide range of disputes, including contractual and commercial claims, property and land disputes, insurance matters, and regulatory investigations, prosecutions and appeals. He also acts in judicial review and other public law proceedings, including constitutional, human rights, and ESG matters.

Joshua was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2016 and as a legal practitioner in New South Wales in 2018.  He has more than a decade of litigation experience at leading firms in New Zealand and Australia. He has acted for individuals, businesses, public bodies and regulators on matters ranging from property disputes, complex commercial matters and challenges to government decision-making.

Joshua holds a PhD in Law from UNSW Sydney, where his thesis was recommended for the Dean’s Award, as well as a Bachelor of Laws degree with first class honours from Victoria University of Wellington.  He has taught law courses at universities throughout New Zealand and Australia.
